CLIVE WEBSTER - CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Clive is a former teacher, Principal Educational Psychologist and local authority Director of Children's Services of seven years. Having attended Catholic primary and secondary schools where he grew up in Harlesden, North West London, he studied Philosophy and Psychology at University College, Cardiff, graduating in 1985 with a BA Joint Honours before gaining a distinction in his PGCE with La Sainte Union, Southampton.  Following teaching posts in Hampshire and abroad, and completing his MSc. Educational Psychology, Clive began his career as an Educational Psychologist with Essex County Council before becoming the country’s youngest Principal Educational Psychologist with the London Borough of Hillingdon in 1996.  He completed his MBA with the University of Kingston in 1999.  His career to date includes leading strategic educational developments in two large County Councils (Essex and Surrey), system re-design of psychology services in inner- and outer-London Boroughs (Wandsworth and Hillingdon), and transformation of social care and educational outcomes across a south coast unitary authority (Southampton). Clive accepted the post of Chief Executive of the Kent Catholic Schools' Partnership because he believes in the powerful and positive results that are possible when schools work together and pool resources in a climate of increased autonomy. Clive is married to Lesley with three children, Amy, 16, Annabel, 14 and Charlie, 11. He enjoys football, all things Spanish, poetry and playing squash.

MARK HARRIS - FINANCE & HR DIRECTOR

Mark initially began his career with British Coal, qualifying as an Accountant during that time, and was finance lead on the last deep mine sunk in the UK. Moving into the education sector, Mark spent a number of years at Further Education establishments, leading on College new builds and re-location projects before moving to Northamptonshire County Council to work on school support services and Academy transition. Prior to joining KCSP Mark was Finance Director with an Academy sponsor on the South Coast. Having worked in the Academy sector for over 5 years, from both a local Authority and a Sponsor perspective, Mark is an avid supporter of the advantages that Academy status can bring to schools. More recently Mark was appointed a Fellow of his accounting body. Mark is married with two teenage daughters. He spends much of his free time either watching football, or car detailing.

SARAH McBENNETT - SENIOR PRIMARY SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT ADVISER

Sarah originates from County Down in Northern Ireland where she graduated with a B.Ed. Hons degree from St Mary’s Teacher Training College in 1988. She was Head Teacher of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Primary School in South Kensington, London, where she led the school for nearly nine years taking it from ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’ both in respect of Ofsted s5 inspection but also s48 inspection of Religious Education.  As a committed, practising Catholic, Sarah brings a wealth of teaching and leadership experience and expertise. Allied to time spent teaching and leading schools abroad, Sarah has taught in and been a leader in a number of primary schools, including being a Deputy Head in Kent before taking up post in London. She has also experience of Executive Headship.

Sarah is passionate about enabling all children to reach their full potential and firmly believes that having the highest aspirations for all, regardless of their starting points, is paramount to achieving better outcomes for all pupils. She is delighted to be part of the KCSP team and is looking forward to working alongside schools, in a supportive capacity, to help them reach their improvement goals. Sarah lives in Rochester with her husband Tim. She enjoys travelling and going to the theatre and is a fair weather golfer!

ANOUSKA MAY - FINANCE & HR OFFICER

Anouska has worked for Kent County Council for the past 13 years, supporting Kent’s Schools with all aspects of their Finances.  During this time she qualified as an Accountant. More recently she has been a part of Kent’s Schools Financial Services Training Team, providing training to Schools Finance Staff, Senior Leaders and School Governors.

Anouska is passionate about helping Schools to make the best use of their funding to benefit the children’s education. Anouska lives with Martin and their 2 year old Son, Harris.

RACHEL BUSHELL - POLICY & GOVERNANCE OFFICER

Rachel is a former pupil of two KCSP schools: St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary and St Gregory’s Catholic Secondary.  Rachel worked for the Department for Education (DfE) for over ten years and most recently has worked with Kent County Council (KCC) as an Organisation Development Adviser. Rachel will be working closely with schools leaders, particularly governors, so that schools can be reassured about all policy compliance and reduce valuable time given over to school-by-school policy production and review.

CATHERINE-ANNE WALSH - FINANCE ASSISTANT

Catherine-Anne (Caz) Walsh joined the Finance team at the Trust’s Partnership Office following her role as Bursar / Office Manager at Holy Family Primary School. Caz has a key role to support schools with the PS Financial system, and helping with ongoing budget monitoring and forecasting.  Prior to that Caz spent 8 years with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), covering various roles including Mortgage Adviser and Branch Manager. Caz is Married to Craig with two children, Sophia 5 and Harley 3. Caz enjoys running and loves a challenge, having completed a marathon, she is currently training for her first triathlon.

HEATHER LEATT - SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT DIRECTOR

Heather is KCSP's newly appointed Director of School Improvement, joining the Trust from the London Borough of Lewisham where she was the Service Manager for School Improvement and Intervention. Heather has a wealth of experience in education, having been a Business and Management Studies lecturer in Further and Higher Education and a secondary English teacher. She worked for Kent County Council for more than 7 years, as a National Strategy English Adviser and School Improvement Partner. When she left KCC in 2011, Heather set up her own successful Education Consultancy, and worked throughout the country in a wide range of schools and academies. She also became an Ofsted Lead Inspector and was a sought after conference speaker and contributing writer to a range of education publications.

DR HELEN MAWBY - COMPANY SECRETARY

Helen's recent background is in the governance of the expanding education landscape of Multi-Academy Trusts. She previously worked for the Hastings Academies Trust and the University of Brighton Academies Trust, two sister Trusts sponsored by the University of Brighton, as Governance Manager. Helen is a strong supporter of the role of the governing Body in the leadership of an academy, and the importance of grass roots knowledge in developing their strategic direction. 

As Company Secretary at KCSP, Helen manages the governance of the Trust, including the Trust Board and Committees, supporting and advising the Local Governing Bodies and managing the policy calendar.
