Kent County Champion 400m Freestyle

Lola Sutton from Year 5 was crowned Kent County Champion last weekend after taking first place in the 400 freestyle at the County Championships held at Crystal Palace.

Giving an assured performance in her debut swim in an Olympic sized pool of 50m (rather than the usual 25m training pool), Lola dominated the race from the start, finishing in a County gold winning time of 5.29 minutes.

Whilst the uninitiated might assume that Lola might relax on her laurels, nothing could be farther from the truth with a further three weekends in London in prospect as Lola has qualified for a further 11 events, culminating in the Olympic Pool on the final weekend

We are confident that a further embarrassment of riches is in prospect for this athlete whose quiet determination and commitment to a rigorous training schedule showcases her exemplary approach to every challenge she takes on whether in or out of water.

Well done Lola, we are all rooting for you over the next month!
