Stella Maris Catholic Primary School, Folkestone

Stella Maris is a one form entry Catholic Primary School located in central Folkestone, and serving the parishes of Our Lady Help of Christians, Folkestone, and St Joseph’s, Cheriton.

We are very much a family school and provide a caring atmosphere, an exciting curriculum, and great opportunities for all our children. Most, but not all, of our children are Catholics – those who do not share that faith still choose the school because of our family values and the work we do to teach the children about loving God and their fellow man.

Parents send their children to Stella Maris because they want them to share in the experience of a faith community. Our Religious Education programme (based on the scheme The Way, the Truth and the Life) provides them with both the knowledge needed to become an active member of that community and the experiences that will help their

faith take root more firmly in their lives.

Our School Mission is what God sent us into the world to do - to help build His kingdom through learning, playing and making friends together.

The tools we will use to do this are:

Caring, Sharing, Love, Trust and Respect.
