The Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership (KCSP) is a multi-academy trust (MAT) established by the Archdiocese of Southwark for Catholic education across Kent. Currently a MAT comprising 24 academies (5 secondary and 19 primary), KCSP wishes to appoint an Area Business Manager (ABM) for one of our largest cluster of primary academies: St Gregory’s Catholic Primary, Margate; St Joseph’s Catholic Primary, Broadstairs and St Mary’s Catholic Primary, Whitstable.
The ABM will be accountable to the Director of Finance & HR of the Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership (KCSP) and will be responsible, on a day-to-day basis, to the Executive Principal of the three academies for their strategic financial planning and management; Payroll; Estate Management; Health & Safety and for all of their contract-managed services. This is a key role, the ABM will advise the Executive Principal together with the cluster’s Executive Governance Committee, Academy Committees and Academy Principals on all matters of a financial and service provision nature.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to inspire and motivate a team, work effectively under pressure and be able to consistently meet deadlines. Travel to all three academies on a regular, weekly basis will be required, to ensure that the cluster is effectively supported and managed, so we are also looking for applicants with flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude. There is administrative support in each school in relation to finance, HR, premises and Health & Safety.
