Culture Day at St Augustine's Primary in Tunbridge Wells
Friday 15 July was an amazing day at St Augustine’s! The school held a culture day celebrating a huge range of cultures, diversities, languages, and countries. It was a wonderful to see children and staff dressed in clothing and costumes that they felt represented their cultural identity, as the whole school gathered together for a special celebration assembly which included wonderful performances from Filipino pupils singing a traditional nursery rhyme, polish pupils singing the National anthem, Irish dancing from three members of staff, together with a traditional Indian dance.
The day was followed by an after-school fair organised by the PTA which helped to further enhance the day with cultural stalls and delicious Filipino food.
