As part of a whole school History Day at St Joseph’s Primary School in Broadstairs children celebrated topics they have studied and incorporated the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Some of the children chose to dress up as people who lived through World War Two such as soldiers, land girls and evacuees.

 

Children were invited to dress as any historical character and History lead, Mrs Osborne, said she was thrilled with the children’s enthusiasm and understanding about history and hoped days like this will help to develop a lifelong curiosity in history as a subject.
