NPQML

National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership (NPQML) (Cohort 2)

Dates:   TBA - starting January 2020

Venue: KCSP, Barham Court, Teston, ME18 5BZ

This course currently attracts a DFE Scholarship grant because we are a multi-academy trust.

Eligibility: This programme is suitable for current and aspiring middle leaders looking for further development.

The NPQML course includes Face to Face twilight sessions and online learning which is led by our trained KCSP Facilitators through Ambition School Leadership.

The main focus of this programme is to ensure that all participants increase their confidence, capability and impact as a middle leader. The course will empower participants to proactively develop a strong network to support them in their first steps in leadership.

Participants will be assessed through a written assignment to ensure that they have reached the qualification requirements plus a viva interview to assess them against the more challenging Ambition Institute bar.

The programme will comprise six half day sessions. Content will cover all assessment requirements with the six areas of focus being:

  • Strategy and improvement
  • Teaching and curriculum excellence
  • Leading with impact
  • Working in partnership
  • Managing resources
  • Risks and increasing capability

Workshops will include a mixture of theoretical input, case studies and interactive discussion among participants.

Participants will also be directed to a bank of online resources that will supplement and enhance their learning, preparing them for the written assessment.

Applications are open until 13 September 2019, please contact Catherine at KCSP at cfearn@kcsp.org.uk for further information. The course application form is available for download below:
