St Gregory's Catholic, Tunbridge Wells
St Gregory's is an 'Outstanding' Catholic academy (Ofsted October 2013), welcoming of all faiths and none. Founded in 1966. It has a strong family ethos based on Christian values which helps the young people in our care to succeed, not just academically but as well-balanced individuals.
The mission at St Gregory's is to provide a world class Catholic education through outstanding and inclusive Christian approach. Students at the Academy are empowered to be their very best, making a positive difference in society.
St Gregory's are among the top schools nationally for progressing students beyond the academic expectations set at the end of primary school. Right across the ability range, students are nurtured and challenged to the very best of their capabilities with many outperforming their grammar school peers. Most students move on to the Academy's vibrant Sixth Form which offers a broad range of subjects and all the support needed to springboard into higher education and employment.
The Academy offers a combination of first class teaching and incredible pastoral care together with a range of ex outside the classroom which give young people inspiration, build self-esteem and the confidence to achieve.
Highly skilled teachers understand that everyone learns in different ways, that they can be strong in one subject yet challenged by another. Teachers will nurture them so they can flourish to the very best of their ability and every child is known and valued.
St Gregory's is a king and caring community where male and female students from all backgrounds, faiths and ethnic groups work well together. It is a place where young people can enjoy and benefit from the thoughtfulness and reflectiveness that Catholic teaching encourages.
