St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Northfleet

At St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School we have Christ at the centre of everything we do, and everything we do is for our children.

St Joseph’s Primary School, Northfleet is a unique ‘Outstanding’ academy.  We support our children to flourish as individuals: feeling happy, confident and proud of their achievements - academically and personally. The only thing we ask of our children is that they are prepared to make the most of the opportunities and challenges provided for them.

The academy is proud of the dedicated and caring team of staff who are completely committed to the children and their achievements and make the academy a happy, fun place to be where everyone feels like they belong.

The academy achieves above Kent and national attainment in all key stages, Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.  The curriculum is extensive and cross-curricular and is constantly evolving to engage and inspire the children.  Evidence of children’s accomplishments and who they are as individuals is celebrated throughout the academy.  There are opportunities for every child whatever their talent and we nurture the children to be confident performers and speakers.  Our choir is outstanding, and has performed at St. George’s Cathedral, the O2 and Bluewater.

Our diverse extended curriculum includes; street dancing, rugby, Book Club, Creepy Crawlies, gardening, cricket, judo, basketball, team skills, choir, drama and football provided by professional FA coaches.  Our breakfast club is well attended with children participating in a range of activities that challenge and stimulate them and prepare them for the day ahead.

We work closely with parents, the Church, parish and extended communities to support our children in their faith.
