Safeguarding

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is at the heart of our vision, ethos and working practise. The Trust recognises that all our staff have a responsibility to safeguard children in accordance with the principles established by the Children Acts 1989 and 2004 and related guidance.

 

All employees, volunteers and governance committee members within the Trust have access to and receive regular training in relation to safeguarding and child protection. A copy of the Trust Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy can be located here

 

A copy of the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education Guidance issued from the Department for Education, can be located here

 

Concerns

If you have any concerns regarding a pupil at one of our schools, please speak to the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in the first instance. Each school lists its DSL on the contact page of their website.

 

If you have a safeguarding concern which you would like to raise with the Trust, please email: safeguarding@kcsp.org.uk. The Trust Director responsible for Safeguarding is Mr Julian Gizzi, Foundation Director.

 

If you have a concern about a pupil outside of school hours please contact Social Services on 0300 41 11 11 or email social.services@kent.gov.uk If you need to contact Kent Social Services outside of normal office hours, for example during the night, call 0300 41 91 91.

 

If you think a child or young person is in immediate danger, the best thing to do is call 999 for the emergency services.
