Staff Commissioned as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at St George’s Cathedral
On Saturday, representatives from our Trust community joined worshippers at St George’s Cathedral for a special diocesan celebration, during which several colleagues were formally commissioned as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.
We are delighted to share that a number of colleagues from across our family of schools were among those commissioned during this meaningful liturgy, including Andrea, Lindsay and Sile from St Simon Stock Catholic School in Maidstone (pictured below). This ministry is a valued and important service within the Church, supporting the distribution of the Eucharist during Mass and to those who are housebound or in hospital.
Canon Victor Darlington, Episcopal Vicar for Education, noted with appreciation the strong representation from our schools, recognising the commitment and witness shown by so many members of our school communities who serve in parish ministries.
We extend our congratulations and prayers to all who were commissioned. Their dedication reflects the deep connection between our schools and parishes, and the shared mission to nurture faith, service, and community across our Trust.
