Former Student’s Artwork Selected for Royal Academy Exhibition

We are delighted to share the fantastic achievement of former St Simon Stock Catholic School, Maidstone student, Joe B, whose artwork has been selected for the Royal Academy of Arts Young Artists’ Summer Show 2026 online exhibition.

Joe created his piece (pictured below), PHONE LIFE OVER REAL LIFE, while in Year 13 at the school. His work was chosen from more than 25,000 submissions, making this an exceptionally competitive and prestigious national showcase.

The Royal Academy is one of the UK’s most renowned arts institutions, and selections for this exhibition are highly sought after. Joe’s success is therefore a significant accomplishment, and a testament to his creativity and talent. This marks only the second time in recent years that a student’s work from the school has been selected.

The online exhibition will launch shortly, and we look forward to sharing further details when available.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Joe on this outstanding achievement.
