Thanks to the collective efforts of families, residents and local businesses, Hartley has already achieved a 2.75% reduction in water use, surpassing the initial 2.5% target and securing the first £2,500 award for the school. The challenge now continues until 30 September, with a further £2,500 available if the community reaches a 5% reduction overall. 

The planned sensory peace garden will include a calming outdoor space and improvements to the school's existing play area, creating a safe, accessible and nurturing environment for pupils to enjoy for years to come. 

We are incredibly proud of our pupils, families and the wider Hartley community for embracing the challenge and demonstrating how small changes can make a big difference. Every shorter shower, turned-off tap and water-saving habit is helping both the environment and our vision for an enhanced outdoor learning and wellbeing space.
