Pastoral Support

Overview

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School are looking to recruit to the position of Pastoral Support, with a focus on whole school attendance, pupil wellbeing and home/school reationships. The successful applicant will be someone who is able to multi-task in a busy and growing primary school situated in Aylesham. This is an exciting and fulfilling role for someone who is a 'people person'. Previous experience of working within a school environment is desirable, but not essential. You will need a 'can do' attitude, as well as be organised, reliable, able to prioritise work and follow instructions. This role requires a good level of knowledge and ability in using IT, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Teams), and ideally our management information system, Arbor. You should be able to demonstrate your understanding, knowledge and prior experience within these areas. Professionalism and understanding of the importance of confidentiality is essential in this role.

Salary & Benefits

Contract: 22.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks per annum), permanent.

Salary FTE: Kent Scheme B £26,168 FTE/£13,515 pro rata; £13.56 per hour; increasing in September 2026 to £26,822 FTE/£13,915 pro rata.
