Schools Across Our Trust Commemorate Armistice Day
This November, schools across our Trust marked Armistice Day with respect and reflection. Pupils engaged in a variety of activities to honour those who have served and sacrificed.
Many schools created beautiful poppy displays, with children working hard to craft their own tributes. Families generously supported the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, purchasing poppies and related items to contribute to this important cause.
On 11th November, pupils and staff observed the two-minute silence at 11am, often as part of special assemblies led by chaplaincy teams. In several schools, including St Joseph's Primary in Broadstairs (pictured below) children proudly wore uniforms from organisations such as Cubs, Brownies, and Rainbows, symbolising their commitment to service and community.
These moments of remembrance provided an opportunity for our school communities to reflect on the significance of peace and gratitude, ensuring that the legacy of those who gave so much is never forgotten.
