St Gregory's student, George, makes history at Brands Hatch
St Gregory's student, George, made history earlier this week by being the first wheelchair user on the Brands Hatch Grid. George had been invited to Brands Hatch by the Hamiliton family, to hold up Nicholas Hamilton's Number before the race, alongside Nicholas and brother, Lewis's, Dad.
Nicholas, who has cerebral palsy, and George were sending out an incredibly strong message about the importance of inclusion in sports, and George was also interviewed by ITV whilst on the grid. George has been invited by the Hamilton family to hold up Nicholas's number at each of his upcoming races at Brands Hatch. We are so proud of you, George!
And in an update to our previous news article about George, we are delighted to confirm that the documentary "Disability and Me" which follows George, together with two other children living with disabilities, won the BAFTA for Best documentary on Sunday 11th May!
