St John's Catholic primary academy was rated as a 'Good' academy (Ofsted April 2018).
St John's Catholic primary academy aims to provide children with the best possible education and to develop the whole child during their time at the Academy. The Academy aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality which is achieved through a happy, stimulating learning environment where excellent staff and resources ensure the children achieve their potential.
St John's approach to learning and teaching is based on the teaching of Christ and 'Growth Mind set' and the Academy encourages pupils and staff to be lifelong learners and to believe that they can achieve anything they put their mind and effort into.
St John's offer pupils and staff the opportunity to be creative, innovative and adventurous in their approach to learning and teaching, using approaches and strategies that value effort, perseverance, co-operation, collaboration, problem solving and leadership skills within a happy and stimulating learning environment.
The Academy also believes that a close and trusting relationship between home, academy and Parish working together at all times to promote the aims and ethos of the academy is important to the success of our pupils and the academy.
