St Mary's Catholic Primary academy is rated as a 'Good' academy (Ofsted April 2018).
At St Mary's, Whitstable, the teachings of Christ are central to everything they do. Following his example, the Academy aims to produce a caring environment, based on mutual respect and within the framework of the Catholic faith.
The Academy aims to teach to the highest standards, and to ensure that the curriculum offered is both broad and balanced within the context of the National Curriculum. The Academy takes into account the ability of each child and aims for the ideal of each child being able to succeed at his/her own level of potential.
All children are valued equally but also their right to be different and to excel in different ways is valued. The Academy respects all children equally, regardless of gender, ethnic background, creed or disability.
St Mary's is a happy and caring academy and their mission statement is a living document. Staff and pupils work together to provide a totally inclusive first-rate education.
