St Richard's Catholic Primary, Dover
St Richard’s Catholic Primary School is a one-form entry school situated near the centre of Dover.
St Richard’s has a strong family feel and links which reflect its large multi-cultural community. Staff are passionate, supportive, and strive to build positive and trusting relationships with each and every child.
Compassion and understanding are the cornerstone of life at St Richard’s; children are nurtured to help them thrive and reach their full potential. All achievements are valued and celebrated. St Richard's aim is that all children leave the school as strong, confident and curious individuals; ready to transition into the wider world.
The school offers an exciting and bespoke curriculum devised by the staff and drawn from the local area.
The school is well supported from the Parish of St Paul’s and Our Lady of Dover where the clergy support the children’s learning, enrich their lives and nurture their spiritual development.
The principles of Catholic social teaching are an important part of our children’s lives and teaching. These principles are reflected in our community outreach, support of local charities and through our affiliation to the Royal British Legion.
‘Pupils say that bullying is not a problem. If they have concerns, they say that staff ‘don’t just listen to us, they hear us’ and act quickly. Relationships between staff and pupils are very positive and trusting.’
