Become a Non-Executive Director

The Kent Catholic Schools' Partnership is always keen to hear from anyone with experience in Education - specifically relating to either primary phase, Safeguarding, and/or Human Resources, and who is interested in supporting the Trust's future growth, strategy, and vision.

Experience in the governance of a charity or a public service body is preferred.

A clear support of our mission, our work and that of the wider Catholic faith is expected. Foundation Directors have a duty to preserve and develop the Catholic character of the Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership, and to adhere to the “object” of the company.

Trustee/Non-Executive Director Trustees – or non-executive directors - are both charity trustees and company directors of the Trust.  The core functions of their role are:

  • to oversee the Trust's vision, ethos and strategic direction
  • to hold executive leaders to account for the educational and financial performance of the Trust

Every Director is expected to abide by the Trust’s code of conduct and the seven principles of public life set out by Lord Nolan: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, and leadership.
