As part of their WWII History learning, Year 6 pupils from St Joseph's Primary in Broadstairs embarked on an Explorer Tour of Ramsgate Tunnels this week. The tour began in a 150-year old Victorian Railway Tunnel where they watched a short film about Ramsgate under attack. Then they headed off into 1.2 km of purpose built Air Raid Precaution tunnels where thousands of people took shelter under the town of Ramsgate during the second world war. What an amazing learning adventure for our young explorers!
