Big Lent Walk at St Gregory’s in Tunbridge Wells raises money for CAFOD
Earlier this term, St Gregory’s students in Years 7 to 10 took part in the CAFOD Big Lent Walk fundraiser, with each year group completing two circuits of the school’s playing fields to raise money for the official aid agency and charity.
Enjoying the outdoors and the sunshine, the fundraising walks provided a wonderful opportunity for the school to come together as a community to show their support for the amazing work that CAFOD does. A photographer from CAFOD also join the school at the event to capture images of the fundraising effort in action (please see below).
The campaign, which was launched by St Gregory’s Year 12 CAFOD Young Leaders at the start of Lent, managed to raise a total of £1,600 and meant the school successfully raised more money for CAFOD in those few, short weeks than was raised by various events throughout the whole of last year.
A huge well done to all involved!
