Year 10 pupil Ophelia is a true inspiration, here's a little piece of her journey so far....

Ophelia has had the most incredible journey which encompassed being a soloist in ballets and an opera at the Paris Opera Garnier and Bastille! However, the dance world is a tough one. Ophelia left home in September 2021 to live in Portugal to train at the Annarella Sanchez International Academy of Dance where she trained 4-6 hours a day in a pre-professional ballet school and attended high school studying in Portuguese. She then moved to Arizona USA where she trained 4-6 hours a day at Master of Ballet Academy pre pro division and was home-schooled until there was a sudden family bereavement. The families plans had to change, therefore moving back to England. Ophelia now travels up to London on a daily basis to train at Masters of Ballet Academy in their pre pro division, managing to combine her education at St Edmund's in Dover and her high-level ballet training.
