St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School are aiming to be Global Champions

Key Stage 1 children visited Margate beach last week to find out more about life under the sea.  Supported by the team from Kent and Essex Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority, the children saw a net trawled out in the sea and then had the opportunity to look really closely at the wildlife that inhabits the tidal pool.

The day was a part of their topic on ‘Global Champions’ and the children also took the opportunity to undertake a beach tidy and consider the impact pollution has on our local environment.  It was a fantastic learning opportunity that bought their topic to life as the children were learning hands on with a real life experience.
